The following tables describe the function and settings of each menu item.

[Project] – [Base Setting]

Sets base settings.

Sets recording format settings.

Selects the imager size.

Hint

  • [S35 3.2K 16:9] cannot be selected when the project frame rate is 24.
  • [FF 5K 3:2] / [FF 5K 17:9] / [FFc 4.5K 17:9] / [FFc 3.8K 16:9] cannot be selected when the project frame rate is 119.88 or 100.
[Internal Rec / RAW Out] [Internal Rec Only] / [Int. Rec & RAW (HDMI)] / [RAW (HDMI) Only] [Internal Rec Only] Selects internal recording and external RAW output combination.
[Codec] [X-OCN LT] / [X-OCN C1] / [X-OCN C2] / [XAVC HS-L 422] / [XAVC HS-L 420] / [XAVC S-I] / [XAVC S-L 422] / [XAVC S-L 420] [XAVC S-L 422] Sets the clip recording/playback codec.

[Project] – [Anamo. De-Squeeze]

Sets de-squeeze settings.

[Project] – [HDR Setting]

Sets HDR mode settings.

Note

  • Configurable only when [Shooting Mode] is set to [Custom] and [Target Display] is set to [HDR(HLG)].

[LCD/VF SDR Preview] [On] / [Off] [Off]

In HDR mode, this turns the function that converts the LCD monitor/viewfinder image from HDR to SDR on/off when gamma display assist is enabled.

Hint

  • When set to [On], [SDR Gain] is applied to the LCD monitor/viewfinder image.
[SDR Gain] 0dB to −15dB −6dB In HDR mode, this sets the [SDR Gain] setting that is applied to the LCD monitor/viewfinder when [LCD/VF SDR Preview] is set to [On].

[Project] – [Simul Rec]

Sets simultaneous recording mode settings.

Sets proxy recording mode settings.

Sets the picture size for the proxy file.

Note

  • The proxy recording formats that can be selected vary as follows depending on the main recording codec setting.

    • For X-OCN codecs, [AVC 1920P (9M)] can be selected.
    • For codecs other than X-OCN, [HEVC 1920P (16M)] / [HEVC 1920P (9M)] / [AVC 1280P (6M)] can be selected.
[Audio Channel] [CH1/CH2] / [CH3/CH4] [CH1/CH2] Selects the audio channel to record to proxy data.

[Project] – [Interval Rec]

Sets interval recording settings.

[Project] – [HDMI Rec Trigger]

Sets HDMI recording control settings.

Sets function assignments to assignable buttons.

The functions that can be assigned vary depending on the button. For details, see “Assignable Buttons.”

[Base ISO/Sensitivity]: Switches the base sensitivity of the image sensor.
[ISO/Gain]: Displays/exits the [ISO] / [Gain Mode] / [Value] direct menu.
[AGC]: Turns auto gain control on/off.
[Push AGC]: Enables auto gain control while the button is pressed.
[Iris]: Selects the iris position setting.
In video monitoring mode, press and hold to select the auto/manual iris setting.
[Auto Iris]: Turns auto iris on/off.
[Push Auto Iris]: Enables auto iris while the button is pressed.
[Shutter]: Displays/exits the [Auto Shutter] / shutter value direct menu.
[Auto Shutter]: Turns auto shutter on/off.
[AE Level/Mode]: Displays/exits the auto exposure level/mode direct menu.
[Backlight]: Switches between [Backlight] / [Standard].
[Spotlight]: Switches between [Spotlight] / [Standard].
[Set to Preset Val.(Wht)]: Switches the white balance preset mode value.
[White Balance]: Displays/exits the WB mode/WB value direct menu.
[Auto White Balance] Executes white balance automatically.
[ATW]: Turns auto white mode on/off.
[ATW Hold]: Pauses auto white operation.
[Focus Operation]: Switches between auto focus and manual focus.
[AF Speed/Sens.]: Switches the focus operation speed setting and focus change sensitivity setting.
[Focus Setting]: Sets the focus area.
[AF Transition Speed]: Switches the speed of the focus drive when changing subject focus.
[AF Subj. Shift Sens.]: Sets the sensitivity when changing subject focus.
[Subject Recognition AF]: Switches the subject recognition auto focus operation.
[Single-shot AF(AF-S)]: When pressed, the auto focus operates at high speed temporarily, and the focus position is maintained once focus is achieved while the button is pressed.
[Push AF/Push MF]: Activates auto focus while the button is pressed in manual focus mode.
Activates manual focus while the button is pressed in auto focus mode.
[Focus Hold]: Holds fixed focus while the button is pressed in auto focus mode.
[LCD/VF Focus Mag]: Switches the magnification factor of the LCD monitor output and viewfinder output.
[HDMI Focus Mag]: Switches the magnification factor of the HDMI output.
[FPS]: Switches between [Fixed/Variable Select] / [Variable] / [Fixed] when pressed. Sets the shooting frame rate when pressed and held.
[LUT On/Off ]: Switches the [Shooting] – [LUT On/Off] – [ HDMI] setting.
[LUT On/Off ]: Switches the [Shooting] – [LUT On/Off] – [ Proxy/Remote Live View] setting.
[LUT On/Off ]: Switches the [ LCD Monitor/VF] setting.
[Press & H Log ]: Sets [Shooting] – [LUT On/Off] – [HDMI] to [LUT Off] to enable log image quality without applying a LUT while the button is pressed.
[Press & H Log ]: Sets [Shooting] – [LUT On/Off] – [Proxy/Remote Live View] to [LUT Off] to enable log image quality without applying a LUT while the button is pressed.
[Press & H Log ]: Sets [Shooting] – [LUT On/Off] – [LCD Monitor/VF] to [LUT Off] to enable log image quality without applying a LUT while the button is pressed.
[De-Squeeze Ratio]: Switches the de-squeeze display setting.
[SteadyShot]: Switches the operation of the image stabilization function.
[Rec]: Starts/stops recording.
[Rec Review]: Turns the recording review function on/off.
[Shot Mark1]: Adds shot mark1 to the currently recording or playing clip.
[Shot Mark2]: Adds shot mark2 to the currently recording or playing clip.
[Clip Flag OK]: Executes [Add OK]. Press twice to execute [Delete Clip Flag].
[Clip Flag NG]: Executes [Add NG]. Press twice to execute [Delete Clip Flag].
[Clip Flag Keep]: Executes [Add KEEP]. Press twice to execute [Delete Clip Flag].
[Slot Select]: Switches memory cards.
[Color Bars]: Turns color bars on/off.
[Tally [Front]]: Turns the recording/tally lamp (front) light/flashing on/off.
[DURATION/TC/U-BIT]: Switches between [Time Code] / [Users Bit] / [Duration].
[Format Media(A)]: Formats the memory card in card slot A.
[Format Media(B)]: Formats the memory card in card slot B.
[Display]: Turns the screen display on/off.
[Lens Info]: Switches the depth-of-field display.
[Output Display HDMI]: Turns HDMI signal screen display output on/off.
[Video Signal Monitor]: Switches the video signal monitor display (for example, waveform monitor).
[Frame Line]: Turns markers on/off.
[LCD Monitor Bright.]: Switches the brightness of the LCD monitor image.
[VF Brightness]: Switches the brightness of the viewfinder.
[LCD/VF Adjust]: Displays the level bars for adjusting the brightness of the LCD monitor/viewfinder screen.
[VF/LCD]: Switches between the LCD monitor and viewfinder.
[Gamma Display Assist]: Switches the gamma display assist function.
[Focus Map]: Turns the focus map function on/off.
[Peaking]: Turns peaking on/off.
[Zebra]: Turns zebra on/off.
[False Color]: Turns false color on/off.
[Volume]: Adjusts the monitoring audio level of the headphones connector and built-in speaker.
[Clips]: Displays/exits the clip list screen.
[Touch Operation]: Turns touch operation on/off.
[Clear Image Zoom]: Turns Clear Image Zoom on/off.
[Fan Control]: Switches the fan control mode.
[Auto Pixel Restoration]: Executes the automatic pixel restoration (automatic pixel noise reduction) function.
[Zoom Type]: Switches the zoom operation.
[Stream]: Turns streaming on/off.
[Auto Upload (Proxy)]: Switches proxy file auto transfer between [On] / [Off].
[Enlarge Screen]: Switches the screen magnifier magnification.
[Direct Menu]: Displays/exits the direct menu.
[Home]: Displays the Home screen.
[Menu]: Displays/exits the full menu.

[Project] – [Assignable Dial]

Sets assignable dial settings.

[Normal]: Rotation in the forward direction.
[Opposite]: Rotation in the reverse direction.

Assigns functions to the multi-function dial.
