Remote Control via USB Connection Mode

Configure the following setting to use a device or application that supports remote control via USB connection mode.

  1. Set [Technical] – [USB] – [USB Cnct Mode (PORT1)] or [USB Cnct Mode (PORT2)] to [USB Remote] in the full menu.

  2. Insert a USB cable into the configured USB port and connect the other end to the supported device.

    Note

    • If a [USB connected...] message appears on a black screen, remove the USB cable to return to the shooting screen, set [Technical] – [USB] – [USB Cnct Mode (PORT1)] or [USB Cnct Mode (PORT2)] to [USB Remote] in the full menu and then connect the USB cable.
    • Operation via a USB hub is not guaranteed.
    • This function cannot be used on both ports at the same time.
    • When using the USB connection mode function, remote control via an IP network, such as using Monitor & Control, is not available.
    • This function does not operate if a USB cable is inserted during recording. Before starting to record, insert the USB cable and check the operation on the supported device.
