Synchronizing the Pan/Tilt Operation and Zoom/Focus Operation When Restoring a Preset Position

You can synchronize the pan/tilt operation and zoom operation when restoring a saved preset position for smoother framing.

  1. Set the PTZ assist mode to [Pos.] in the drop-down list at the top of the preset position control panel.
  2. Press the image for the preset position for which you want to change the transition speed.

The (Preset position menu) button appears at the top right of the image.

  3. Press the (Preset position menu) button and select [Edit…] from the displayed menu.

The setup screen for the selected preset position appears.

  4. Slide the [Zoom Sync] switch to the right to turn the function on and press the [OK] button.

The next time a saved position is restored, the camera will move at the configured speed.

Hint

  • You can specify settings used for registering a preset position beforehand. Set [Pan-Tilt] > [P/T Preset] > [Default] > [Zoom Sync] to [On] in the web menu.
  • When [Pan-Tilt] > [P/T Preset] > [Pan-Tilt Speed Setting Way] is set to [Common], all preset positions will be restored at the speed set using [Pan-Tilt] > [P/T Preset] > [Pan-Tilt Speed for Common].
  • After zoom movement is completed, the camera moves to the saved focus position.
  • After the movement is completed, [AF Transition Speed] returns to its original setting.

Note

  • Depending on the zoom speed range of the lens, the zoom operation may finish before the pan/tilt operation ends, or conversely, the zoom operation may continue. Check the the operation beforehand.
