Connecting a Lens Controller

You can operate the zoom of a manual zoom lens from the Web App, RM-IP500 (option), or the infrared remote control by connecting a commercially available lens controller (option) that is compatible with this unit.

For details about connecting a lens controller, refer to the operating instructions of the lens controller.

For details about adjusting the zoom using a lens controller, see “Adjusting the Zoom Using a Lens Controller.”

Note

  • Before using a lens controller, read the operating instructions of the lens controller carefully and make sure you fully understand its use. Sony will not be liable for any claims of any kind resulting from the use of a lens controller.
  • Clear Image Zoom is not available when a lens controller is enabled. It is recommended that you set the Clear Image Zoom ratio to 1.0× or disable Clear Image Zoom.
  • When the lens controller is enabled, camera framing operations cannot be recorded or played back.
