Charging the battery pack using the supplied charger

  1. Insert the battery pack into the battery charger.
    • Place the battery pack on the battery charger in the direction of (triangle).
    • Slide the battery pack in the direction of the arrow as far as it will go.

  2. Connect the battery charger to the USB Type-C terminal of a USB PD (USB Power Delivery) power supply using a commercially available USB Type-C cable (USB-C® - USB-C).
    • Use a USB PD power supply with an output of 30 W (15 V / 2 A) or more and a USB Type-C cable (USB-C - USB-C) that supports 3 A or more.
    • If you use a USB PD power supply or USB cable with specifications other than those described above, charging may not be performed properly.
    • If two batteries are inserted into the battery charger, they will be charged simultaneously.

Illustration indicating the positions of the CHARGE lamp and the charging status indicator lamp

    • When charging starts, the CHARGE lamp (A) lights up in orange.
    • You can check the approximate charging status with the charging status indicator lamps (B) as shown in the following table. (The orange color indicates the lighting of the lamp.)
    • When the CHARGE lamp and charging status indicator lamps light up and then immediately turn off, the battery pack is fully charged.
    • Depending on the USB PD power supply, the CHARGE lamp may turn on and off repeatedly before charging starts. However, once the CHARGE lamp or charging status indicator lamps stay lit, charging will proceed normally.

Approximate charging time (Full charge)

Number of batteries to be charged Full charge time (Output of the cable and power supply used)
1 Approx. 155 min. (18 W or more)
2 Approx. 155 min. (30 W or more)
  • The above charging time applies when charging a fully depleted battery pack at a temperature of 25°C (77°F) using the supplied charger.
  • Charging is also possible when using a USB PD power supply with output of less than 30 W, but charging may take a long time when charging two batteries at once.
  • The charging time stated above may differ depending on the ambient temperature, the condition of the battery pack, and the USB Type-C cable or USB PD power supply you are using.

Note

  • Use a nearby wall outlet (wall socket) when using the AC Adaptor. If any malfunction occurs, disconnect the plug from the wall outlet (wall socket) immediately to disconnect from the power source.
If you use the product with a charge lamp, note that the product is not disconnected from the power source even when the lamp turns off.
  • Before charging, be sure to also read “Notes on the battery pack and charging the battery.”
